Oh man! I can't believe I have the gall to not post on this site for what feels like over a year, and then all of a sudden post again before Anime North.

Even so! May just started and now its almost over, and that means that Anime North is here! My favorite time of the year...better than Christmas wrapped in a birthday wrapped in Easter wrapped in a pizza that's wrapped in crack. Maybe not THAT good but still it's a great time of the year.

A time to relax and unwind. Stressful days at work end and a new type of stress looms at the end of the week. The stress of finding certain manga before they run out. The stress of pushing through crowds to get where we need to be. The stress of trying to keep a certain girlfriend from KILLING me this year. The stress of the whole year melts away and is replaced by more of a dull ache.

Every year I get so excited about Anime North and what happens after? I don't read the manga I buy, in hopes of preserving the warm gooey feeling of Anime North. That soon leads to me forgetting about the manga for a whole year and then picking it up only when Anime North rolls around again.

This year I'm making a pledge...no, a resolute decision. Like a New Years resolution, only late and not something that I will break. I will not piss Jenn off this year at Anime North. We're going to have a giant hotel room, lots of fun at the con, and tons of fun with friends. I don't need to ruin it by running off in an excited stupor because I can't delay the gratification i get from buying the things I go to Anime North for.

Secondly. I pledge not to let the upcoming drama that may or may not befall the date of this most sacred event, affect my feelings or change the way the weekend will turn out for me.

Thirdly, and least importantly, I will remain part of the Anime fandom all year, not just when I'm bored and need something to do. No I will not sit in my basement watching Anime 24/7 but I will watch new Anime and read different manga consistently rather than just keeping up with Bleach, Naruto, and most importantly One Piece. I will watch so much different Anime my head will SPIN!

All I want to do really is have fun, barring anything that spoils that fun, I think I have a pretty good chance of having a great time. As I'm going with Jenn, one of my most favorite people in the world, and Kevin, the other favorite. This will be an awesome time, I dare anyone of you to ruin it, you won't because you're nice people...but I dare you anyway! Hey! Maybe I'll see you all there! Who knows!?
